Pointed Lessons
So the Nets went to West Point today - think the Little General took in the surroundings? Ordered a carpet bombing somewhere?
Not much to report at the moment. Bernard Robinson is down with an MCL tear and will be lost for maybe 2 months. Not sure where he playing time is going to come from anyway, but you never want to see anyone get hurt, especially not in practice.
First preseason game is Friday night. Two more weeks plus and the Nets will be playing their first game of the season. Who will be ready to go? Not Marcus Williams. Not Robinson. Probably not Nenad Krstic, who thus far is working his way back from the knee injury. So there might be some short term opportunity for other role players to grab some time with both hands and make an impression. Not just the usual suspects like Antoine Wright and Boki Nachbar, but perhaps Malik Allen and Darrell Armstrong.
I'm off the Arkansas at 4AM tomorrow - be back in the saddle on Wednesday night (I may have a ticket to see Bruce Springsteen, so forgive me if I don't update until Thursday).
