#14 Jamie Feick
Player File
The Feickinator's chances of playing this year appear slim, due to an achilles tendon problem.

Jamie Feick – F
Joe: Starts the season on the Physically-Unable-To-Perform list – may be out for the entire season. Rebounds extremely well considering his size, can also give you some garbage points and an occasional outside shot. Doesn't play defense well, but he could be taught to be a decent defender if he could only stay on the court. Don't look for him any time soon.

Champagne: Called to duty when Jayson Williams went down in 1999 and performed so well as Replacement Jayse that he landed a fat contract. Was that when humble Farmboy Feick copped the me-first attitude? If an attitude really is his problem...Since the "Two Minute Marbury Hate" that occured when Marbury was traded, after years of neutral-to-positive coverage when he was still on the team, I've learned to pay greater attention to pregnant gaps and innocent-sounding questions in Nets beat reports – in retrospect, Adamek's "Where's Jamie?" last season, when Feick was rehabbing and not making very many "Hurray team!" bench appearances, sounds ominous. Then again, maybe Marbury really was the team's biggest chemical problem, and Feick couldn't stand to be around it. I like Feick a lot and would love to have him back, and contrary to Joe I think he's a good defender.
