The Real Deal: Well-liked in locker room, head-cheerleader, no discernable NBA talent, will probably continue to bounce around the league.
Joe's Take: Not likely to make the team, at least not on the active roster. By far the most animated Net on the bench during timeouts, team huddles and big emotional moments, poor Donny comes off like the sensitive singer-songwriter who can't get a major label deal but still carves a decent life for himself. Just goes to show you what a little talent and a positive outlook on life will get you. Most likely to go directly into coaching or broadcasting without anyone knowing he's gone.
Champagne's Take: When the Nets laud their "chemistry," Donny makes up one of the elements. I guess, in life, you can underestimate the importance of a good attitude. I know I sure have – but's that's all Donny brings. Evidence of his skills is skimpy. He played fewer minutes last year than even Brandon Armstrong...but more than Jamie Feick.
