Nenad KrsticC/F
Known For: Tall, skinny Euro-baller that played on the same team as Vlade Divac (no, not at the same time). Well-rounded offensive game. Know anything else? Email Joe and we'll put up the details.

The Skinny: Exactly. Nenad Krstic looks a bit like he might get knocked over by a breeze exceeding 10 m.p.h. The fellow from Serbia-Montenegro was a capable offensive player, with a good combination of inside and outside play. He'll need work defensively, and with the overall speed of the NBA game.
But he's only 21, and with the right development, the Nets could be looking at their franchise center in three years.

The Concern: Is this New Jersey's own Darko? How ready will Nenad be to make contributions? The Nets could use some of what he can offer - offense in the post, height, a decent rebounder - but if he can't adjust quickly enough to the speed of the NBA, he'll be learning his trade in blowouts and in practice this season.

Joe's World View: Love the potential that Nenad brings as a seven-footer. The Nets have seemed to be offensively challenged in the spot forever, unless you considered Todd MacCulloch the bomb on the offensive end. The great hope is that Nenad gets some playing time when it counts, although he may not be quite ready for it. On this team, why not force-feed him some anyway? As Jason Kidd himself said, it's not like the Nets will be contending for a title in the next two years...

Joe's Prediction: 3.0 PPG, 2 Rebounds, 0.5 Assists, 0 steal and 7.5 minutes per game averages.
