Tangled Webber
Detroit's in possession of C-Webb, and frankly, it doesn't matter how he got there. Philly decided he wasn't the Answer (neither was The Answer), so he was bought out of his contract, free to offer his services to the highest bidder. We heard all sorts of nonsense about him wanting a guarantee of a starting job (why?), as much money as he could get his hands on considering his huge buyout figure (why not?) and there was talk of coming home to Detroit (gimme a break). The reality? Detroit wanted him, had enough money, and well, he's got himself a starting role since Nazr Mohammad was brought to Detroit and somehow failed miserably. But this is still the Billups/Hamilton/Wallace Pistons, and they won't let Chris Webber forget that. They're still the team to beat in the East...Meanwhile, the Nets? Up or down? Discuss.

Why Should You Watch? Long road trip over, pride salvaged, Carter re-awakened - how long will it last against the Best of the East? Rasheed Wallace in the post, going up against Mikki Moore - you live for moments like that. Kidd's on a role, but Chauncey always plays him to a standstill overall. Chris Webber is interesting in the middle for the Pistons. Again, which role player for the Nets will step up? Pistons had an active night last night vs. the Wizards, that should help slow them down. Nets are 0 - 2 vs. the Pistons this year, L. Frank needs to find a way to put this one in the win column.

Detroit Pistons Cheat Sheet
The Story From the Motor City: From the Detroit Free Press: Still the same old bad-boys: "Rasheed Wallace received his 13th technical foul -- No. 16 comes with a one-game suspension -- in the first quarter Sunday [against the Pacers]. He got it when he asked official Sean Corbin -- loudly but without cursing -- if he was supposed to let Jermaine O'Neal post him up without any resistance. Chauncey Billups received a technical for throwing a ball at the bottom of the scorers' table."

Pain Game: The Pistons report no injuries. F Richard Jefferson (ankle) and C Nenad Krstic (knee) are out for the Nets.
