Boston Celtics (29 - 4) - Friday, January 11, 2008, 7:30PM EST - Izod Center
The Green Movement
Let's hope the Celtics don't take out their anger over losing only their 4th game of the season on Wednesday night to the same Bobcats team that dismantled the Nets on Tuesday night out on NJ. It's been a Green Movement all the way so far, with Messers Pierce, Garnett and Allen ripping through the league, the bench making nightly contributions, and the defense nothing short of sparkling. They're recycling opponents at a rapid pace, beating even that of those Bull teams back in the 90's. The Nets have won 8 out of 10, but they're still 0 - 4 against the Celtics and Pistons and so once again we roll out the measuring stick language. It'll be huge if they can do it, but let's not make it a movement yet.
Why
Should You Watch? Sigh, that man-crush over Kevin Garnett continues for Joe - oh, what might have been. Pierce and Jefferson usually compete at a high level against each other, so it will once again be a battle. Of course Kidd has it all over Rondo, but he'll need help. Don't expect a triple double in this one. And then there's the defense, which has been spotty on its interior play lately. Can they hold the mighty C's out of the paint? It promises to be a battle, if the Nets of the past two weeks or so actually show up, play well on the home court, and manage not to fall behind by double digits too soon. Seems like a tall task for this bunch...

Boston Celtics Cheat Sheet
The Story From Beantown: From the Boston Globe: Lost in the Celtics blazing start to this season has been the play of the reserves, not a source of strength (supposedly) when the season started. "Eddie House said, "We are just doing our job. When Coach [Doc Rivers] calls on us, he is calling on us to spell the starters and give us a lift. On a night where we don't have a lift to stretch the game out, we have to keep the ship afloat. We can't let it sink."
Pain Game: F Glen Davis (knee), G Ray Allen (neck) and C Scot Pollard (ankle) are all listed as questionable, but not doubt they'll play. C Nenad Krstic (knee) is out for the Nets.
