Memphis Grizzlies (4 - 9) - Tuesday, November 27, 2007, 7:30PM EST - Izod Center
Grin And Bear It, For Now
Rebuilding with youth is always tough, especially when you mix in a new coach, new GM and new philosophy. Such is the case of the Grizzlies of Memphis, who welcomed new coach Marc Iavaroni and GM Chris Wallace to what was a mess in 2006 - 2007, and the first mission is to run the basketball with young legs like Mike Conley, Jr, Kyle Lowry, and Rudy Gay. But Mike Miller and Pau Gasol are still here as well, so it's an interesting mix. They're showing signs that they're starting to get it, at least offensively: they're sixth in the league in scoring at 104 PPG, while they're also giving up the third most amount of points in the league at nearly 108. For the Nets, who only recently remembered how to put the ball in the basket, coinciding with their 3 game win streak, it should be a welcomed sight - that is, if they don't try to go basket for basket with the Grizz. Should be an entertaining night, anyway, at the Izod...
Why
Should You Watch? The Nets want to add to a three game winning streak. All the Grizz point guards are much smaller than Jason Kidd. Vince Carter could be a dominant force against the Grizz if his ankles are ok. You want to watch Paul Gasol go head to head with Sean Williams, right? You also want to see if Jamaal Magloire is taking root on the bench, or if there's an opportunity to see him in action. Darko MIlicic is your favorite player, but he's not playing tonight (what a surprise).

Memphis Grizzlies Cheat Sheet
The Story From Memphis: From the Commercial Appeal: The Grizz are finding success with youth, namely Rudy Gay, who's being compared to some lofty players already: "Rudy is easily a double-double guy," Griz head coach Marc Iavaroni said. "He may not be as good a rebounder as Shawn Marion is, but if we're going to be able to play him for an extended period at the four, he's got to approximate (Marion) more and more."
More from Memphis:
"Rookie guard Juan Carlos Navarro is averaging 19.3 points, four assists and three rebounds in three starts.
He's scored in double figures in four of the past six games, which include a pair of 28-point outbursts.
Memphis is starting to witness the consistency of "La Bomba" after Navarro scored more than 10 points just once in his first seven games."
Pain Game: C Darko Milicic (thumb) is questionable. G Mike Conley Jr (shoulder) is listed as out. G Marcus Williams (foot) and G Darrell Armstrong (thigh) are out for the Nets.
