New Orleans Hornets (5 - 2) - Monday, November 12, 2007, 7:30PM EST - Izod Center
Back On The Town
The New Orleans Hornets are back in the Big Easy permanently, and so the Oklahoma City part of the team is history. That hasn't stopped Byron Scott's team from being a handful early this season. Despite a fairly tough schedule thus far (west coast trip to LA, Portland and Denver, plus San Antonio at home), the Hornets are 5 - 2 and are led by young Chris Paul, who's leading the league in assists (Kidd is second, Deron Williams third, David West and Tyson Chandler, who do the dirty work upfront. Peja Stojakovic is back and healthy too, making this team a handful. The Nets, meanwhile, are facing a game or more without Vince Carter, who sprained his ankle in the loss to the Celtics on Saturday, and so it'll be interesting to see who steps out on the town for NJ. A fun night at the Izod, for sure.
Why
Should You Watch? Chris Paul is a top 3 point guard in only his third season in the league - he's fun to watch. Kidd's done a good job on him in the past, but... And Byron's back in New Jersey, so watch the arrogance meter shoot skyward. Can the Nets get enough offense without Carter? Certainly it can't all fall on Richard Jefferson, though he seems up for the challenge. Tyson Chandler's a rebounding load in the middle - will we see a lot of Jamaal Magloire in this one? How 'bout some time for Sean Williams, who brought life to the Nets on Saturday night. The Nets collectively want to bounce back convincingly, making this an interesting one to watch.

New OrleansCheat Sheet
The Story From New Orleans: "It's just our second loss. We have to keep playing. We got a good start on them, we just didn't finish the game well. We'll have three more shots at them." -- G Chris Paul, after New Orleans jumped ahead of San Antonio 36-27 before losing 97-85.
Pain Game: The Hornets report no injuries. G Marcus Williams (foot) is out for the Nets. Vince Carter (ankle) is doubtful.
