It's been said a million times already but needs to be repeated: the Utah Jazz, the first stop on the Nets' first West Coast swing, have the next Jason Kidd on their roster, and he's as dangerous as Kidd. But with a better shot. Deron Williams leads the Jazz, 7 - 4 overall but losers of two straight, back on their home court against the flailing Nets. No sign of Vince Carter yet, so Andrei Kirilenko, Carlos Boozer, Mehmet Okur and the rest of Jerry Sloan's band of merry men have the upper hand. The Jazz play defense - the Nets are offensively challenged, especially without VC. Lawrence Frank continues to tinker with the pieces he has, most of which have significantly underperformed thus far, so almost anything goes out there in the Great Salt Lake. Lord knows, it could get ugly...

Why Should You Watch? The point guard battle, for starters. Watching Jerry Sloan's team and their precise, fundamental basketball is fun to watch if you're a fan of the game. Carlos Boozer is a monster inside and out, and has made himself into an All Star. Richard Jefferson is likely looking for redemption after the blown layup late on Saturday night. Will we see Carter tonight? Sean Williams vs. Andrei Kirilenko in the shot blocking festival of 2007. Should be exciting to watch, especially if Williams gains the upper hand.

Utah Jazz Cheat Sheet
The Story From Salt Lake: From the Desert Morning News: The Jazz have lost two straight, and G Deron Williams has figured out the problem. "I've been playing terrible for the last week-and-a-half, turning the ball over every time down the court," added Williams, who averaged 5.0 assists per game on the road trip — exactly half his average before the team took off for Toronto — and who committed 12 turnovers during that same span.

"I have to do a better job of taking care of the ball, and hit shots," added Williams, who also committed six turnovers in a win over Sacramento last Monday and who shot just 4-of-17 from the field in Cleveland. "I've got to get that confidence back in myself."

Pain Game: F Andrei Kirilenko (leg) is questionable. G Marcus Williams (foot), G Darrell Armstrong (thigh) and G Vince Carter are listed as out.
