Head Coach: Reggie Theus
2007 Draft: C Spencer Hawes (#10), Washington.
New Players: F-C Mikki Moore (Free agent); G Benno Udrih (Free agent); G Dahntay Jones (Free agent).
Season Goal: Hard to say with the Maloofs - bringing in Reggie Theus and building around Ron Artest is either genius or madness. We'll guess the latter.
Record vs. Nets: 0 - 0

Moore Better?
Old friend Mikki Moore comes back to NJ for an official visit (as does about half the Kings roster, which is from the local area, Ron Artest, Francisco Garcia, Quincy Douby, and Dahntay Jones),
having taken the (too much) money and ran all the way to Sacto, where he's making contributions (7.5 points, 5.5 rebounds) similar to those found here last year (albeit without Jason Kidd). The team has hung in there despite being decimated by injury (the starting backcourt of G Mike Bibby and G Kevin Martin, plus F Shareef Abdur-Rahim) and the early suspension of Artest, and has shown signs of life by going 4 - 4 since December 1. With 2 days off for this one, will our friend and his mates be better off, or worse? The Nets are hoping for some relief, which Artest usually doesnt' provide, so the challenge is on for the Nets to treat Moore and co. rudely and get a much needed home win.
Why
Should You Watch? Well, we miss Mikki Moore for one thing - his energy and enthusiasm, the snake stories, that pick-and-roll goodness, and everything about him. Which Net squad will show up - the one that falls behind by double digits early, or loses by double digits late? Get the feeling that another bad loss and Jason Kidd is going to pop a cork? Ron Artest is a bad-ass, especially against the Nets. Should be interesting to see if they can handle him. This could be a good time for someone on the frontline to have a monster, double double type of game. And face it, you want to see what Lawrence Frank does next to piss you off.

Sacramento Kings Cheat Sheet
The Story From Sacramento: From the Sacramento Bee: G Kevin Martin, out with a groin strain, is going mad, apparently: "Kevin Martin sat on the Kings' bench before Saturday's game, took a deep breath and made an announcement.
"I'm getting ready to play on Tuesday," the injured Kings shooting guard said.
He was kidding, of course, although he certainly wishes it weren't a joke. It has been less than two weeks since Martin's strained right groin was diagnosed with a four-to-six week recovery time, and the team's leading scorer already is going mad.
He has spent most of this road trip wandering in the locker room or even the media dining room, talking to folks along the way because there just isn't much else to do. He couldn't resist taking a few shots Saturday, grabbing the ball on the Wachovia Center floor in his street clothes and firing a few from the perimeter.
When the sanity of such a move was questioned, Martin quickly defended himself.
"It was all arms, so it's cool," he said.
Pain Game: G Mike Bibby (thumb), G Kevin Martin (groin), and F Shareef Abdur-Rahim (knee) are all on the injured list. C Nenad Krstic (knee) is out. G Marcus Williams (foot) and F Bostjan Nachbar (ankle) are questionable.
