Pickin' Magicians To The Seventh Power Vol. VI
Our Nets are out of the playoffs, but we think we should keep one of our traditions alive here at JNF - the seventh annual playoff Pickin' Magicians contest! The rules are as follows - YOU pick the winners of each series by round - the winner of this contest is the player who, at the end of the playoffs, has picked the most series correctly. Your "in x games" picks will break ties: most series picked exactly wins. If that's a tie, we'll pick the entrant who was least far off in the series he or she picked correctly
Here are the results of the first three rounds:
1.) All hail Jen S., who wins the competition based on her unbeatable lead of 13 correct (out of 14), 3 exact with one series left to go. Way to go Jen - we're going to have to find different prizes to award you!
2.) In second place (and kicking himself all the way for the Spurs pick) is Joe Netsfan as well as Steve Charny, both of whom have 11 correct, 5 exact. At least Joe's got something.
4.) Fourth place belongs to the trio of Jon Lin, Rich McCabe and inexplicably Champy, all of whom now have 11 correct, 2 exact.
7.) Lucky number seven is the double duo of Doug S. and Ken Gerew, each with 11 correct, 1 exact.
9.) GMOTSL is in eighth place with a three round record of 10 correct, 3 exact.
10.) Vince Vincenzo holds the 10 spot with a combined score of 10 correct, 2 exact.
11.) And still bringing up the rear? David Gutierrez is sitting at 10 correct, 1 exact.
